~Vision~
Art and artifacts are the physical embodiment of the hopes, dreams, joys, fears, grief, and aspirations of the human community. These artifacts tell us about our similarities and differences... where we have come from... where we are going... and how we can change and shape our world. Art and artifacts have the power to teach, inspire, enlighten, and evoke emotion. Without their protection and preservation, we will lose our inheritance and deny our children and all who follow glimpses into our collective past and the delight which can come from experiencing creative human expression.

Artifacts begin to deteriorate from the moment they are made and this deterioration cannot be completely halted. We work to slow the process through minimizing the harmful effects of agents such as improper humidity and temperature, light, pests, and pollution; and to stop the damage caused by the human factors of theft, vandalism, civil strife, and improper handling. When these preventive measures are insufficient, conservators perform treatment when it becomes necessary to intervene and stabilize objects against further deterioration.

Our recommendations are tailored to the specific resources and organizational environment of each client. We find that this results in developing realistic and successful conservation and preservation solutions for both the immediate and long-range future.
